Stevie's Request.

I'm a sucker for Stevie when she asks me to make her a outfit.
So here it is.

Summer Outfit.

I made this for a lovely girlfriends daughter who turned 2. Piper is just the cutest little thing so I tried to make an equally cute set for her.
Head band with matching button and little flower ruffles.

I've been putting my label on the outside because they are a little hard and would hate to have them scratch the little ones backs.

Recycled Pallets

I love all these pallet ideas, especially the pallet deck with the plants growing through the gaps. I may just have a spot for that!

Cute Alert.

A little photo update of the kittens. They're very cheeky now and are getting quite quick and playful. I guess it's not too long until they will have to leave so I will enjoy the little ratbags while we can.

Awww Perdie loves her little bubs.

 My favourite.

Hmmm...What To Make?

I have probley mentioned before about my favourite little fabric shop in Mornington. It's an upholstery shop but they always have a little basket out the front full of goodies. I picked up all these samplers!!
The quality of the fabrics are amazing and I love thinking up what I can use them for. I've made lots of bags, cushions and table runners from past finds.

So my first make from this lot is a quilt/ playmat. This is a velour fabric and feels so beautifully soft I thought it would make the perfect little mat for a little bub to lie on. Probley a bit to heavy for a quilt, unless you live in the snow!!
This is the large back panel that is on all the packs which is really great as it gives me so many more options of what I can do with the fabric

All lined up ready to sew.
All sewed, now for putting it all together.
Ok so I am extremely proud of how it turned out. I have never been able to even come close to binding a quilt so finally I have kinda worked it out. I don't know if this is cheating as I haven't actually put binding on it but have managed to neatly wrap and fold the fabric from the back around to the front.
Also inside the layers is a thin doona so its extra soft and cozy.

 The back.

Christmas is almost here!

We now have a real christmas tree but last week before Mike got home I wanted the kids to have some decorations up. I do have to thank and give all the credit to my lovely friend Leesa for this idea as she has a really nice tree made from crete paper up on her wall. And one rainy weekend I was trying to think what I could get the kids to do to amuse them for a little while and this is how it turned out.

The kids each had a section to paint.
And we have since added a star and lots of drawings and other decorations the kids have stuck on it.

This was the banner I made from felt last year, I still love it and each snowflake is different.

Ken Block T Shirts.

So this was a project I've been promising my boys for a while. They both LOVE Ken Block the rally car driver that does the most amazing 'drifting'! Often Lochie will run around the house sideways saying that he is drifting and also tells everyone to call him Ken, kinder teachers too!
So the M is for the Monster drink but that is a major sponser of Ken's and has it all over his cars, therefore everytime the kids see one of those M's they yell 'Ken Block'!!
Michael bought a Ken Block t shirt a while ago, Just for Lochie and so I copied the M and made them their own t shirts. Again I love freezer paper!
 Michaels shirt that I copied.

And all 3. Pretty close to the real thing.
 My 2 little ratbags.
